Beyond Blessed with GREAT friends ~

Happy 5th Birthday Jonah Wesley Carlson! A few months back Jonah had told me that he wanted a SURPRISE party for his 5th Birthday & SURPRISED he was! We had the party at Valley View Elementary school, it was the perfect place for 20 kids (including Sean) to run around and  just be crazy kids! We had a Hot Wheel theme which was a hit with Jonah, his favorite part was the pinata! He asked if he can have a SURPRISE party every year for his birthday!

Jonah is a smart, active, sensitive, loving, silly, crazy big boy that I fall more and more in love with each day, blessed I am to have him as my son.  I praise God for you Jonah! 

We had Jonah's 5 year well child check up this week & he is a growing, healthy boy!
Doc sad that Jonah is the average size of a 6 1/2 year old!

August 1st 2010 this sweet boy was born! We got him when he was 16 weeks old, he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback & his name is Miles (which was the name we were going to use if we had another son) He is the Perfect 3rd child for us ~ He is potty trained, sleeps all night, entertains our kids, and brings us all so much joy!

 We had little laney's 3 year old check-up today and she is a healthy growing girl.

She is in the 90% for her weight & the 95% for her height.

She loves to dress-up, "play-house", polish her nails and she loves her babies!

She is crazy about her brother but she sure knows how to push his buttons! (poor Jonah)

Something that we have done every year is get a zoo pass and the kids love it! Sometimes we only go for a picnic & short visit, other days we spend hours there. This day we were lucky enough to have Nani
enjoy the zoo with us.

my loves. These 2 kids bring so much joy to my days, they make me laugh all day long! Jonah and Laney are starting to love each other more as they get older, they still fight like crazy but they admire, protect, and love one another very much. Today we were swimming and Laney was doing a great job swimming on her own for the 1st time, we got in the car to go home and Jonah says "Laney, I am SO PROUD of you!" Laney with the biggest smile ever says "Well, THANK YOU Jonah!"

Jonah adores her but he tells us often that he does not want a brother or another sister, he says he likes it just him and Laney!

We came back from camping on Sunday night & Monday morning I noticed a few spots on Laney's face, by Wednesday morning the few spots turned into poison ivy everywhere on her little face, neck and arms. She is taking an oral steroid to help stop the spread and we have a topical lotion to help the itch along with benadryl! She has been such a great sport with little to no complaining, she woke up today and the rash is looking so much better.
When I took Laney to the doctor to have the ivy checked she stood on the scale for the 1st times on her own without screaming for the nurse. She weighed 33 lbs. Jonah had to have his vaccines caught up before school starts at that appointment as well which he was not happy about! With a lot of help from the nurses and myself laying on him his shots are all up to date. After wards he told me it wasn't that bad, he was just nervous. Jonah weighed 46 lbs today.
I am blessed to have healthy children.

Camping in Ludington 2010, Our 1st family tenting experience was a success. It was 4 days of pure fun & sun with great people!

Laney is getting close to 3 & I am growing more & more crazy about her every day!

The "Big Lake" with The Hensley's! Jonah & Hudson are the same age & go to preschool together, they are complete opposites but they have so much fun together. Lily & Laney are 6 months apart and they are two peas in a pod! I am thankful to have their wonderful mama as one of my very best friends!
